Key Club Experience
RM, D23
Key Club is one of the best experiences someone can have in high school. It is a community of peers that all have a common goal of making their community better through acts of service and positivity. Everyone is full of spirit and are proud to show it whether it be dressing up for FRN or cheering each other on during our small club meetings at lunch. The spirit and friendships throughout Key Club will leave an everlasting impression on everyone within.
Clark Key Club X Clark Connections Friendsgiving
AH, Clark, D28S
I went to our collaboration event with Clark Connections and I thought that it was very insightful and educating for us! We taught special education students how to make dog toys and it was very refreshing to meet with kids who are usually invisible in the school. They all had beautiful hearts and it was so cool being able to see the braids they made!
Christmas Parade Volunteering
JE, University Preparatory, D38E
This December 3rd, Key Club volunteered at the Christmas Parade! We helped people find their positions before the event and met lots of new people who were participating in the parade. It was really fun getting to see the different performances and one of my favorite parts of this event was getting to lead the parade with other members! This was definitely an amazing experience and I'm looking forward to future parades!
LSS Service Event
SY, Westlake, D42E
On the day after Thanksgiving day, a very meaningful service event was held at Lutheran Social Services, and Westlake High School Key Club was there to help out! At this event, Kiwanis K-Kids members, Builders’ Club, and WHS Key Club came together to help serve meals from 9:30am to 12:00pm. Students handed out Chick-fil-A sandwiches and basic items such as water, snacks, socks, and toothbrushes to those in need. Students were also able to paint rocks to add to the collection of painted rocks in the area. Many people came to pick up meals, and all volunteers were glad to help! Many were grateful for the items they received, and one individual even gave back by giving some of their art supplies to us to paint rocks! Everyone enjoyed their time there, and it was a great way to spend time helping others, especially after the Thanksgiving holiday.
Fall Rally PHS
JH, Pacifica, D42W
On November 12, 2022, we attended Fall Rally South! This was my first experience at Fall Rally along with the majority of Pacifica students that attended. We put a lot of work into ensuring members were aware of our scheduling, requirements, and transportation. Weeks of learning chants were finally being put to the test. An unforgettable highlight of the day was placing top three in the first rally session! I could not be more proud, and especially seeing the division’s faces light up was such a great feeling. Being a spirit coordinator was nerve-racking but the payoff was worth it a hundred percent. I spent the rest of my day with a group of friends where we rode X-2, Apocalypse, and as a cabinet, we rode Justice League. Despite the very busy park, I could not ask for a better Fall Rally experience or a better division!
