Social Interclub

S.C, Milikan, D13S

From Monday, July 21st to Friday, July 25th, Millikan Key Club had participated and helped to plan with fellow Lakewood Key Club president, Isabella Acebo, to earn and find ways for our members to get their service in despite our busy summer schedules! This event had been hosted by the two clubs, allowing them to take part in a series of activities throughout the week. This would include "Beans Beans Beans", "Origami Creating", "Free Rice", "Color A Smile", and "Card Writing.” In addition to this, we had been able to also plan and attend a coordinated social inter-club, where members from each club could join a Google Meets where we had been able to learn and connect with each other more before the school year starts! This had personally been my favorite part of this week-long event because I had been able to talk to some of my board members that I have not been able to see in person, as well as some Lakewood Key Club friends that I can not wait to truly meet in person at the next event to come! I loved that most of the activities had been hands-on activities that we could do, such as card making and origami that will eventually be donated to brighten people's day! This is essentially where Bella and I were able to hint that there will be another Millikan Key Club and Lakewood Key Club collaboration in the future, where the club presidents will be able to collect these crafts and donate them as members have fun at the park in the near future! I am beyond excited for when the day comes and I am so glad that we got to make new members with our Lakewood friends!
