What's Poppin' CNH?! Welcome to Season 3 Episode 2 of the "What's Poppin'" video series. In this episode we went into detail about what each of the committees on our district board does. Hopefully you took some of this information and are able to bring it back to your home club. Who knows? Maybe you'll inspire on of the members you serve to be a future committee chair!

As Key Clubbers, we work together to serve our community, better our world, and follow our four core values. We stand united, combating all forces that tend to undermine the relevant institutions. But what drives us to do so? Each one of us has our own reasons as to why we joined Key Club – and why we stayed. So what exactly is the meaning of Key Club? To put simply, we are simply a group of teenagers helping better our community to the best of our ability. However, the meaning of Key Club differs by the individual. Here’s what it means to me:

Sadly, the summer is slowly droning to an end. Last minute vacations are being planned, summer homework is filling up students’ days, and the dread of waking up before sunset is setting in…

On November 21st and 22nd, Piedmont Key Clubbers volunteered at Piedmont’s annual Turkey Trot. The Piedmont Turkey trot is a five-kilometer run through the streets of Piedmont. People from all over Piedmont and Oakland come together to enjoy the beautiful morning. This year about 2,600 people came at 8:30 AM to participate in the race.

We look forward to working with our Kiwanis more throughout the year and we hope that other clubs are inspired to do the same! With his inaugural address, Joe Houston proved to us that he would become a great President and an inspirational role model to us Key Clubbers. All in all, the Grantville-Allied Gardens Kiwanis Installation was very enjoyable and such a great experience! We can’t wait to come back and see what is in store for next year!

Summer is the most valuable time for a teenager; the days are longer, responsibilities are lessened, and there is generally more freedom. To a Key Clubber, that translates into more time to raise funds and get active with the District goals. Sheldon Key Club wasted no time in doing either of these things when we had our first carwash of the summer on June 8th, which was conveniently the hottest day Elk Grove has seen yet.

You guys really stepped it up this year. So what if we didn't win the Spirit stick? You all cheered your Elephant hearts out and got us to Top 5! Not to mention, we bought our LTG Lenny and Division 35 West's LTG Serwoo Lim with the $2112 you raised. I am so proud to be an D35 East Elephant!
